Right then it’s the Sheffield Cycle Jumble on the 19th May at St Mary’s Church (details above) we’ve been at them all so far and they’ve been good so get yourself along. We’ll have a stall clearing out a bunch off stuff that’s been building up since last time, some frames and various other bits at good prices. I think there are still a couple of stalls available so if you’re interested in having one give Mark a call on the number above. See you there.
ReCycle Bikes are now set up to carry out service and repair work for Sheffield Ambulance Service Cycle Response Unit. Pictured above is cycling paramadec Jonathan Alexander with his trusty work house on his first (official) visit to the workshop, a quick replacement of brake pads and Jonathan was back out on the streets of Sheffield. Consistently exceeding all his response time targets Jonathan is proving that a bike is a great alternative to the car in the city centre. He must be fit as well because with all that kit on it the bike is heavy. Lets hope none of us ever meet him professionally but if we do we can be assured that he’ll be with us quicker than if he was in a car. Back in November we had a short film made by Richard Lawrence-Day from Sheffield City Council to help potential students see what kind of stuff they could get up to if they decided to take up a placement with us on the Vocational Skills Programme. You can see the end result below. It’s been ready to go for months now, we’ve just been waiting on a particular student returning his consent form allowing us to use his image in promotional material. Also we don’t all normally have moustaches, we were all taking part in ‘Movember’ for charity. The Ride Journal Issue 6 has just arrived via courier half an hour ago. Looks as good as ever, be sure to get your copy as we always sell out. £8.00 (and worth every penny) ![]() The Ride Journal #6 “Issue 6 of the Ride Journal is finally here. So what’s inside?
